Max Eldon Sabine, 82, formerly of Pleasanton, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Fort Scott Medicalodge. A native of Chanute, he served in the U.S. Army for 17 years and then lived in Olathe for nearly 35 years, working as a restaurant cook. Mr. Sabine was cremated and his ashes will be buried in the National Cemetery in Fort Scott. Arrangements were cared for by Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Pleasanton.
