Leonard A. Feuerborn, 84, Paola, formerly of Garnett, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, in the Olathe Medical Center. A native of Garnett, he attended Centennial School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. While in the Marines he managed a sawmill in Ottawa that housed German prisoners of war. Mr. Feuerborn operated heavy equipment and this took him to Greenland in the summers of 1951-52 where he worked on a military base for the U.S. Government. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Robinson Feuerborn, of the home, and three children including Robert Feuerborn of Paola. Services were Friday in the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Rose School in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Services, P.O. Box 408, Garnett, KS 66032.
