Osawatomie forced the issue on the defensive end with its press, as the Jayhawk-Linn boys' basketball team committed 30 turnovers in a 64-31 road loss to the Trojans on Tuesday to open Pioneer League play.
Girls' basketball It appeared Osawatomie and Jayhawk-Linn was headed for another down-to-the-wire girls' basketball game Tuesday, but the Jayhawks' press defense started to pay off in the fourth quarter. Up 35-32 after the third quarter, Jayhawk-Linn used a 22-8 run in the fourth quarter to close out a 57-40 road win and keep its perfect record, now 7-0, intact.
For a full recap of Tuesday night's games, see the Friday edition of The Miami County Weekend.
