George John Poster, 75, Cleveland, Mo., died Feb. 18, 2009, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo. Born Feb. 10, 1934 in Mantador, N.D., he was the son of John and Cecilia Terhar Poster. He moved to Kansas City in 1955. He was a hardworking carpenter and enjoyed fishing and loved farming his land. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Wayman Poster; brother Roger Poster; and sisters Luella King and Audrey Asmus. Survivors include his brother Ralph Poster of Kansas City, Mo.; and two sisters Mildred Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Madlyn Peterson of Humarock, Mass. Funeral Mass was Monday followed by burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, Mo. Arrangements were by Penwell Gabel Louisburg Chapel, 120 S. Broadway St., Louisburg, KS, (913) 837-4310. Memorials may be given to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 606 S. Elm St., Louisburg, KS 66053.
