The Miami County Conservation District still has funds available for cost share assistance to install conservation measures within high priority areas.

These funds can be utilized to aid in seeding cropland to grass for hay land or pasture, constructing terraces and waterways, installing watering facilities, fencing out ponds and riparian areas and other related conservation practices.
The targeted areas include the eastern fourth of the county and the Hillsdale and Middle Creek drainage areas. December 4 is the deadline date set by the State Conservation Commission to have these funds obligated.

The conservation office is encouraging people to not miss out on taking advantage of an opportunity for assistance to address the erosion or water quality concerns of your farm.
