Charles Fredrick “Chuck” Courtois, 91, Pleasanton, died Dec. 13, 2009. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church, Pleasanton. Memorials are suggested to the Harry Hynes Hospice or First Baptist Church of Pleasanton. Arrangements are by Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, 816 Main St., Pleasanton, KS 66075, (913) 352-6101. Oscar Holway III, 80, Blue Mound, Kan., died Dec. 11, 2009, at Prescott Country View Nursing Home, Prescott, Kan. Survivors include his, wife Ida of Blue Mound; a daughter, Stephanie Gunther of Rich Hill, Mo.; and seven grandchildren. In keeping with Oscar’s wishes, he was cremated and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coffelschneider.com.
