Ophelia Marie Elledge, 96, Hume, Mo., died Dec. 26, 2009, at Prescott Countryview Nursing Home, Prescott, Kan. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Hume United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time. Contributions are suggested to the church. Burial will be in Hume Cemetery. Linda K. Havens Tallackson, 70, Carson City, Calif., formerly of Osawatomie, died Dec. 12, 2009, as the result of Huntington’s Chorea. Local survivors include her sisters, Diane Reeve of Osawatomie and Gerry Sue Mundell of Paola. She will be dearly missed. She has been cremated and her ashes will be laid to rest on the island of Kauai. Jean Marie Ross, 82, Blue Mound, died Dec. 27, 2009, at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, Mo. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, 319 Chestnut St., Mound City, KS 66056, (913) 795-2215. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Wall Street Church. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Mildred, Kan. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coffelschneider.com.
