The Osawatomie High School boys’ junior varsity basketball team kept pace with Baldwin for one half during its Jan. 26 home contest, but the Bulldogs used an 11-3 third-quarter run to go on to a 59-43 victory.

Osawatomie had no problems getting on the score sheet in the first half, trailing just 19-16 after one quarter and 35-29 at halftime.

Baldwin’s defense, however, clamped down on Osawatomie in the third quarter, limiting the Trojans to just three points in the frame.

Osawatomie played Baldwin virtually even in the fourth as the Bulldogs outscored the Trojans in the frame 13-11, but the deficit proved to be too much for Osawatomie to overcome.
Derrick Kueser paced the Trojans with 14 points. Allen Raymer added 10, Trevor Lewis nine, Tanner Lucas five, and Brandon Gaines and Spencer Booe two each.
