Wanda June Ross, 89, Fort Scott, formerly of Blue Mound, died Feb. 1, 2010, at Prescott Countryview Nursing Home, Prescott, Kan. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, 319 Chestnut St., Mound City, KS 66056, (913) 795-2215. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Blue Mound. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coffelschneider.com. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Fort Scott.

Richard G. Conley, 89, Overland Park, died Jan. 29, 2010.

Known as Dick, he was born Feb. 7, 1920, to Francis Marion and Mary Loretta Lampman Conley in La Cygne, the youngest of six children.

He grew up on a ranch in southeastern Colorado, where his father was a homesteader. His family moved to Lamar, Colo., when he was 7 years old, and he graduated from Lamar Union High School in 1936.

James “Jim” Hardesty, 50, Paola, formerly of Parker, died Jan. 28, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Spring Hill.

He was born Dec. 4, 1959, at Garnett, the son of Carl and Joyce Ashburn Hardesty. He graduated from Prairie View High School in La Cygne.

Harold Eugene “Gene” Williams, 76, Collinsville, Texas, brother of Darrell Williams of Osawatomie, died Jan. 26, 2010, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas. Graveside services were Monday at IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Okla. Arrangements were by Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro, Texas. He is also survived by his wife, Connie Ronsick Williams of the home.

Roxanna Lea Turley, 48, Frontenac, Kan., died unexpectedly Jan. 29, 2010, in Frontenac.

Roxie was born Dec. 2, 1961, in Topeka to Thomas Edward and Juanita Turley. She was a graduate of Turner High School in Kansas City, Kan. She made her home in Paola where she lived most of her adult years. She had recently moved to Frontenac.
