Program in multiple phases

The New Year's Eve route in the city stretches for about two kilometers. Celebrations started in the city center from 2pm and at Ferris Wheel Square and Town Hall Square from 1pm. The latter is part of the event again this year after a gap of one year. The Ringstrasse will also be closed in this area from 10 p.m. The New Year's Eve route ends at 2am.

Central stations include Freyung, Stephansplatz and Kärntner Straße. Not only were the audience treated to a wide range of performances from a variety of cuisines, but also plenty of music from various genres such as pop, rock, disco, Latin and soul. The tribute show “Falco – In Concert” was announced as one of the centerpieces of the Radio Wien stage at Rathausplatz.
