A coroner has now concluded that he died of natural causes, British news agency PA reported Tuesday, citing Southwark Coroner's Court. The Irish musician died unexpectedly in July 2023 at the age of 56. Police said at the time that the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Almost two weeks later, many in Ireland said goodbye to the singer. In the seaside town of Bray, south of Dublin, many mourners lined the procession. For example, Irish pop stars Bono, frontman of the band U2, and Bob Geldof attended a private funeral.
