A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Wednesday for the new tram line 27, much of which will also run on the newly constructed route. It is a new intersection between the districts of Floridsdorf and Donaustadt.

The new line 27 will run from Strebersdorf to the existing line 26 to Jangasse, then a 2.4 kilometer long new line – including an express train and a bridge over the tunnel – to the U2 station Aspern Nord. Out of 28 stops, 6 will be newly constructed. “Pim” will open up development areas like the district in Perezkas.
